This is something that has been worrying me for years. In fact, ever since we went on a renewed offensive in Fallujah over some dead mercs it has been a concern. The fate of highly-paid professionals doing a dangerous job (the dangers of which they are well aware) should not form policy or strategy but it would certainly seem that it does.
